I’m a mom on a mission to live well on one income — and help others do the same.
My frugal journey began when my husband and I decided to grow our family. We made the choice that I would stay home to raise our kids — and that meant we were going to live on just one income.
It wasn’t easy, but we were determined.
💡 We Had to Learn Everything Ourselves
There were no expert guides or step-by-step roadmaps. I taught myself how to:
- Budget every single dollar
- Cook at home and meal plan from scratch
- Fix things ourselves or ask for help from friends
- Stretch what we had instead of buying more
We rarely ate out — and when we did, we searched for the best meal deals in town. Every penny had a purpose.
💖 But It Changed Our Lives in the Best Way
Living on one income opened our eyes to what truly matters.
Our kids grew up appreciating what they had.
We found contentment in simplicity and strength in discipline.
And now that our kids are grown and we have two incomes again?
We still live on one — and save the other.

I created Frugal Home Lover to share my story and everything I’ve learned along the way — in hopes that it will inspire and equip you to do the same. Especially now, with rising costs everywhere, it’s more important than ever to spend with intention.
